Is 18 alive after GT ends?

18 is immortal, so she should be alive after GT has ended, right? I remember Pan saying she's the last Z Fighter left though. Just wanted to see if this wasn't a GT plothole or another inconsistency.

When did Pan mentioned 18's the last? Final episode of GT?

Oh no, she said she was the last herself, implying that everyone else died. But 18 should still be alive if she didn't kill herself intentionally, or was killed by some outside force.

Wasn't she wished to be a human...meaning she would eventually die?

Yes, but Shenlong said he couldn't do it because their powers are too vast. Instead, they got their bombs removed from them with their wish.

Technically she was still mostly human, so maybe she can die if she can have kids

I thought about that too, but Gero turned himself into an Android for the sole purpose of Eternal Life. I think all Androids are immortal.

But Gero's version was completely android wasnt it?
17/18 were cyborgs. They were based off organic parts, so the organic parts of them would die.

Gero still had his brain. I don't think that was meant to last forever, as he intended for his entire body.

True. The case it was in was probably a preserving tank or something. I dunno.

But 18 could easily die. She was a human before being captured by Gero.

Actually the answer here is yes, she should be alive by the end of GT.
It is explained in the manga that the Androids are immortal. They don't get old nor sick/injured --they could get "injured" but they wouldn't be able to feel pain, so it's like there was no injury really.

The only way for 18 and 17 to die is by having somebody blow them up. Otherwise they won't die.

And assuming that 18 didn't blow up, she definitely was still alive and looking exactly as young as before.

Except she cut her hair

I guess Toriyama wanted to make her look older even though she's immortal. And that hair doesn't grow back either, if I'm right.

Novacane for the pain

Maybe Pan never considered her one of the group when she made that statement? I'm pretty sure that Gero said that he wanted to be immortal "too" when he was telling Android 17 that he'd become an android as well so they should still be alive. Unless she killed herself after Krillin and Maron died (rather depressing thought but possible).

Yeah, I was going to say she probably killed herself. Even though it is a bit messed up, she essentially out lived her husband, and her own child.

And yes, Dr. Gero said he wanted Eternal Life. It was basically the only reason he turned himself into an Android.

Terrible decision that of cutting her hair., right?! :|
She looked so much better before.

haha saying that she killed herself after Krillin and her daughter died is a bit of a stretch.
I mean, not that it isn't possible, because she did end up getting very attached to her family... but it's just one of those things that will forever be a mere speculation.

One thing's for sure... when Pan made that comment on GT... I doubt the creators of GT were thinking it through to make an accurate statement, they most likely just forgot about 18's immortality. GT is full of mistakes anyway, so this is just another minor one.
